Ibuprofen softgel capsule, its fill content density is around 1.0g/ml, depend on the formula, whose density is higher than pure oil fill content, it has exsipients PEG, which is like lubricant, it absorbs water easily and easy to leak, accordingly the machine timing setting need to be well adjusted, different with other pure oil fill content. Considering its special feature of fill content, the injection wedge and injection hole in cavity of softgel die roll set should be designed for more even fill content distribution on gelatin skin. Softgel die roll set for its encapsulation should be designed to match with softgel encapsulation process datas.

Lecithin softgel capsule, about 10 years ago, most of Chinese factories have the lecithin softgel weak seal and serious oil leakage, they doubted its caused by gelatin material, softgel die roll set, softgel machine etc. many sides, because of this, Rousselot wenzhou center made a research and declared that is not caused by their gelatin material. At the same time, its proved true that its not caused by the gelatin material, but also its not caused by temperature of injection wedge. Finally the leakage and weak seal is solved by fill content composition improvement, adding a new excipient with its amount control. 

When different formula of fill content softgel, reason for weak seal problem would be finally different. Lecithin is mostly applicable as dietary supplement, while ibuprofen is a medicine. To revise the fill content composition, its manufacture license must be again submit and get approval, dietary supplement would be easier to get new approval than medicine in some countries. So its not good to solve the weak seal problem from revising fill content composition.
