Their points difference:

• VFFS operation by vertically, HFFS operation by horizontally.
• VFFS require less floor area, cost cheaper, more convenient and easier for operate to learn the machine and maintenance. HFFS require much more floor area, cost much more expensive.
• VFFS is more for sachet for example 3 sides sealing, 4 sides sealing, back side sealing, stick etc., HFFS is more for zipper pouch, suction nozzle pouch, doypack, self stand pouch etc.
• VFFS has speed about 50 pouch/minute per lane, but VFFS can have more lanes from 1 to 10, even 10 lanes VFFS, its cost is better than the HFFS type and less floor area, HFFS has faster speed especially for small size pouch.
• Only HFFS can do the stand up pouch for example with zipper, with suction nozzle etc.
• When stand up pouch like box type, available by VFFS.
• VFFS mostly can have one type of filling system for one machine, for example granule, if user require another product to pack for example powder, it require another set VFFS. While HFFS can have several types filling system on one machine, when user require to pack powder, granule, liquid, cream etc., available to just get one main machine but with 4 filling system, change the filling system when pack different product.
• Invest of the main machine HFFS is very large, its not good for most small and medium user, accordingly VFFS is very popular in the market now. While HFFS is very good for the large company and public company etc.
• Another competitor of HFFS is the preformed pouch filling sealing machine,  HFFS require more complex operation and maintenance, but cost of package film in roll for HFFS is cheaper than the preformed pouch.
