When user buy a new softgel encapsulation machine, they can choose to have the installed mold softgel die roll with its injection wedge by water recirculation heating or electric heating, and manufacture material of injection wedge. Structure of softgel encapsulation machine is different when its injection wedge is by water recirculation heating or electric heating, so all the future molds on the same softgel machine must have same heating way of its injection wedge.

 

 

 

There are different advantages on each, user need to choose it according to their actual production need.

 

Injection wedge by water recirculation heating, its made by material Aluminum alloy, its heating by water recirculation so its temperature controlling is better and more even, which will be finally better for the machine softgel output. While its time of heating up and heating down is slower than electric heating way, obviously there will be more material and gelatin wastage during production, and some users feedback its easy damage parts are more because it has a water tank for the water storage.

 

Temperature controlling of electric heating way is good also, only if we purely compare advantages of the two heating way, water recirculation way would be better in even heating. Electric heating way can have the time heating up and heating down very fast, so when user has one formula of softgel with large amount production, continuous production without stop, they prefer the injection wedge by electric heating. 

 

These comparisons are for singly the injection wedge, their each advantage and shortage can be different when different ajustment or structure and alignment. When user wants to make new mold softgel die roll set to have injection wedge still by electric heating so to fit the softgel machine strucutre, but with more even heating like the water recirculation, they choose our own developed and patent injection wedge, which makes the injection wedge heat transfer more even, temperature adjusting more fast, same softgel shape at front and end, reduced happen of peculiar softgel shape. 

 

 

Material of injection wedge is normally copper, it can be made by aluminum alloy if user requires. When the softgel machine has structure of water recirculation heating injection wedge, its injection wedge is made by aluminum alloy, and when the softgel machine has structure of electric heating injection wedge, its injection wedge is made by copper, except user specially require and change the material. For a new softgel machine installation and training, the technician from the softgel machine manufacturer do the training to user for only what temperature should be reached for the installed injection wedge, so when its new mold softgel die roll with injection wedge made by different material, user will find the softgel machine without good operation, its just because feature difference of the injection wedge material copper and aluminum alloy, temperature set for aluminum alloy injection wedge should be lower than copper injection wedge, and this temperature set for injection wedge will change also when another formula softgel is produced, for example higher fill density, higher temperature; higher speed RPM, higher temperature too, this is a test to the user's softgel encapsulation technical capability and experience. 

 

Obviously, copper injection wedge has longer service life than the aluminum alloy injection wedge. Besides, the user should ask their softgel machine operator to handle carefully for the mold softgel die roll, and less times of dismounting can help for more service life, this together with manufacture material both decide and effect the service life of softgel mold die roll. Aluminum alloy injection wedge can not be repaired if any damage, but copper injection wedge when damaged for example by bumping, user can sent it back to us and we can repair it well.
